Gallery page – getting started

If you’d like a gallery page, please follow the steps below:

A Create a .jpg image of each of the paintings that you want in your Gallery:
a. Take a photo of your painting (before framing).
b. Use photo software1 to crop the image as necessary.
c. Save the image as a low resolution .jpg file. The image size should be in the range 100KB to 120KB.
d. Change2 the filename of the .jpg to the title of your painting.  Please use the following convention:
–> Capitalise the first letter of every word
–> Delete all spaces
–> Delete all special characters such as dashes and commas
Example filenames:  HarbourView.jpg,  ASunnyDayInEpsom.jpg, DavidsHouse.jpg

B Create a .jpg image of a painting for the main Gallery page
Each member’s gallery is accessed from a linked image on the main Gallery page. Please follow the guidelines above to create an image for your link. Please note that it must be a square image.

C Write a short biography of your art history for your gallery page
This is optional. Have a look at what other members have written on their gallery page if you want some ideas.

D Email all your .jpgs and your biography (if required) to our Website Editor (eeagwebsite@gmail.com).
Please indicate which picture is your gallery link image.
If you can only provide high res images, it may be best to zip3 them up into a folder and then attach the compressed folder to the email, rather than attaching individual images.

Please remember to keep your gallery up to date by submitting .jpgs of new paintings at any point.
