Julie has loved drawing since earliest memories. As a child she was lucky enough to be taught the basics of perspective from her architect father (which has served her well over the years!). She mostly loved drawing cartoons and at school studied O and A level Art, though did not pursue a career in art. Instead she kept her drawing skills for pleasure and used to entertain colleagues with cartoons at work. She also illustrated a poetry book ‘Odes of a Lifetime’ by local public speaker Anne Chance. But serious painting itself stayed on the back-burner for many years, until more recently. She now enjoys using watercolour but plans to explore back through other mediums. She is also beginning to sell her work and is available for commissions.
