Margaret Eggleton

I have always loved art in any form and trained as an art teacher before teaching in primary (including Lynton Preparatory School in Ewell) and secondary schools, as well as tutoring adult classes, painting holidays and at a residential college in the Lake District.

I joined Epsom and Ewell Art Group in 1988 and exhibit locally, at Denbies and in London with the RI, the SWA Society of Women Artists and the SGFA Society of Graphic Fine Art at The Mall Galleries.

I have written and illustrated magazine articles as well as several books for Search Press, that have been translated into French and Spanish.

I now work mostly in watercolour and mixed media but also in graphite and ink. All my work has a strong emphasis on drawing. One of my favourite activities is sketching and painting outdoors – ‘en plein air.’
