I have been keen on drawing and painting since I was a youngster and have been interested in boats and aircraft almost as long; that has lent towards them appearing regularly in my paintings. As an ex boat-builder and a British aerospace worker I have a good inside knowledge on how these craft are constructed.
I started painting in watercolours and still use watercolours for try outs before painting in oils, using watercolours in trials of colour gives me a good idea of how it will work our before committing to oil.
I now paint most of my pictures in oil because of the greater control you can exercise over blending the paints.
